Automated Trains

Automated trains are achieved in much the same way as automated points.

Train formations are created by starting an editing session and running the trains as required for the formation. These formations should be short small operations. As speed and function commands are recorded with time so are sensor detections. These sensor detections are used to ensure that trains reach locations as expected. If a train is running late, speed and function commands are delayed. If a train is running early, speed and function commands are executed in quick succession. Irrelevant or superfluous detections may be removed during editing.

As with point formations, running train formations is a simple case of selecting the required formation and pressing Activate.

More advanced train automation is achieved by setting up Dotric Fast Clock to select and activate train formations at scheduled times.

Complete Automation

Dotric Fast Clock may be used to schedule point and train formations to create complex scenarios.
