Points Controller Features

Key to the Dotric Station Blue points controller is the computer display which emulates a switch panel with an underlaying layout diagram. This switch panel display is created using a map editor that is an integral part of the Dotric Station Blue software.

The underlying layout diagram is provided by a jpeg file that may be created in situ using the Microsoft Paint program supplied with most PCs. Placing one of the spare points switches on the layout is a simple case of a few mouse clicks.

As many of these layout maps may be created as required with each becoming a tab page within the operational points controller.

Since the underlaying map is derived from a jpeg file, a photograph of the actual layout may be used instead of a manually prepared diagram.

The user may record a regularly used series of switching operations to create a formation. Any number of formations may be created and given meaningful names. In this way activating a whole series of switching operations is a simple matter of selecting the formation and pressing one button.
